You will not have access to your garage or parking area while the work is happening. Plan to park on the street or nearby for a few days. Water runoff patterns might shift slightly during construction, so do not panic if you see bare dirt exposed before the final grading is locked in.
How to Prepare Your Property
A little prep work on your end keeps the project moving smoothly. First, make sure you clear out any vehicles, trailers, or basketball hoops from the driveway area before the crew arrives.
Call 811 to get your underground utility lines marked a few days before digging starts. Any good contractor will verify this, but it is ultimately your property. If you have underground sprinkler heads near the edges of the driveway, flag them clearly so the machinery does not crush them. You should also turn off automatic sprinkler systems for the duration of the work.
